Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Nourmofidi at a Gathering of Al-Mustafa Students: Dynamic Jurisprudence Paves the Way for Achieving the Ideal Religious Society
A group of students from the Golestan branch of Al-Mustafa International University visited the Contemporary Jurisprudence Research Institute and met with Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Nourmofidi.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was held during Research Week, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Hosseini, the respected director of the Golestan branch of Al-Mustafa International University, delivered brief remarks in which he congratulated those present on Research Week and expressed his appreciation to the president and officials of the Contemporary Jurisprudence Research Institute. He described research and the conduct of applied studies as important pillars of Al-Mustafa’s activities and stated: “Al-Mustafa’s motto is an education-centered, research-oriented educational system, and putting this motto into practice requires fundamental and applied research in various fields of knowledge.”
He added: “In this regard, the International Conference on American Human Rights from the Perspective of the Supreme Leader will be held this year at the Golestan branch, and we hope that distinguished researchers will enrich this scholarly research event by submitting valuable papers.”
During the meeting, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Nourmofidi welcomed the participants and commemorated Research Week. Referring to the necessity of conducting applied research on jurisprudential issues, he described dynamic and effective jurisprudence suited to society’s requirements as paving the way for achieving the ideal religious society. He also emphasized the need to conduct impactful research on new jurisprudence and emerging issues.
The president of the Contemporary Jurisprudence Research Institute stated at the meeting: “In recent centuries, particularly over the past few decades, the scope of jurisprudential discussions has expanded more extensively than the fields of ethics and beliefs, and hundreds of new entries involving thousands of new questions have emerged. This research institute seeks to address new and contemporary jurisprudential issues and to classify the subjects of specialized branches of jurisprudence.”
It should be noted that, at the beginning of the program, the respected officials of the various departments of the Contemporary Jurisprudence Research Institute presented the institute’s achievements in areas including the Online Encyclopedia of Contemporary Jurisprudence, the establishment of a library, digital resources, and other fields.
