Condolence Message of Ayatullah Sayyid Mujtaba Nur Mufidi Following the Oppressive Martyrdom of the Wise Leader of the Revolution, Grand Ayatullah Imam Khamenei (may his soul be sanctified)
In the Name of Allah, the All-Beneficent, the All-Merciful
“Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow, and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [their commitment] in any way.” [Quran 33:23]
The monumental and unbelievable tragedy of the martyrdom of the exalted Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the revered source of emulation (Marja’), vigilant jurist, and mujahid, Grand Ayatullah Imam Khamenei (may his soul be sanctified), by sworn, bloodthirsty American and Zionist enemies, plunged the Islamic Ummah and the Iranian nation into soul-crushing grief and roaring anger.
The martyred Leader of the Revolution, who was a worthy product of the Islamic Seminary and a disciple and righteous successor to the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified), after years of tireless struggle and jihad in the path of truth, and nearly four decades of courageous, scholarly, and honorable management and stewardship of the system of the Islamic Republic in the path of the lofty ideals of Islam and the Revolution—demonstrating steadfastness and resistance against the ferocity and excessive demands of bloodthirsty, aggressive enemies, and guarding with patriotism, paternal care, and compassion the territorial integrity and pride of Iran alongside the interests of its brave people—received the reward of his piety, striving, and valuable services in the holy month of Ramadan, the month of the martyrdom of the Master of the Pious, ‘Ali (peace be upon him), by drinking the nectar of martyrdom and completing his proud record with the beautiful emblem of martyrdom.
In this great tragedy, the people of Iran lost a courageous and learned leader; the Islamic Ummah lost a steadfast guide and tireless mujahid; the Islamic Seminaries lost a deep-thinking, innovative, and time-aware jurist; the country’s elites lost a versatile, polymath scholar and guide; and seekers of spirituality lost an enlightened, soulful gnostic.
Undoubtedly, under conditions where our country has come under ruthless invasion, the vigilance of the Iranian nation through national unity and cohesion, comprehending enemy conspiracies alongside supplication before the Divine Threshold and seeking intercession (tawassul) through the favors of the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them)—especially Hazrat Vali-e Asr (may our souls be sacrificed for him)—alongside the wisdom and resolve of officials and the firmness and resistance of the armed forces until the complete severing of the aggressive enemy’s tainted hand and the realization of divine vengeance, holds paramount importance.
With profound sorrow and hope in divine boundless mercy, I extend my condolences on this painful and irreplaceable loss to Hazrat Baqiyyatullah al-A’zam (may Allah hasten his honorable reappearance), Muslims, Shia, and seekers of truth worldwide—particularly the noble and magnificent nation of Iran, Islamic Seminaries, the Grand Marja’s (sources of emulation), and his honorable household; and I beseech Almighty God for patience, tranquility, and victory for the Iranian nation, and elevated ranks for that felicitous and martyred Leader.
