Attended by Ayatullah Sayyid Mujtaba Nur Mufidi, the Foundation Brick Laying Ceremony for the 9-Classroom Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified) School in Khomein City Was Held

According to the Public Relations of the General Directorate for Renovation, Development, and Equipping of Schools in Markazi Province, the foundation brick laying ceremony for the 9-classroom Imam Khomeini School was held in the presence of prominent figures including Ayatullah Sayyid Mujtaba Nur Mufidi, President of the Research Institute for Contemporary Jurisprudence and Professor of Advanced Classes at the Islamic Seminary of Qom; Abdollahi, Technical and Supervisory Vice President of the School Renovation Organization; Abolfazl Hendouyan, Spokesperson for the Donors’ Community; Mehdi Zandieh Vakili, Governor of Markazi Province; Reza Mazhari, Director General of School Renovation of the Province; Ali Mirzaei, Vice Governor for Management Development and Support of Markazi Province; Daneshnezhad, Director General of Public Relations of Markazi Governorship; Karbala’i Hasani, Director General of the Technical Office of Markazi Governorship; Brigadier General Morteza Amou-Mehdi, Commander of the Rouhollah IRGC Corps in Markazi Province; Brigadier General Tajereh, Law Enforcement Commander of Markazi Province; Ali Fakhari, Head of the School-Building Donors Assembly of the Province; Pirhoseinlou, Director General of Education of Markazi Province; Baratizadeh, Governor of Khomein County; Mohammad Bayat, Representative of the People of Khomein in the Islamic Consultative Assembly; Ebrahim Hoseinabadi, Managing Director of the School-Building Donors Assembly of the Province; Shahverdi, Director of Education in Khomein; Mirsadeghi, Friday Prayer Leader of Khomein; Amini, Head of Planning and Budget of the School Renovation Directorate; Rabi’i, Vice President for Public Participation in Renovation; and Eskandari, Head of the Supervision Office.

Mazhari, Director General for Renovation, Development, and Equipping of Schools in Markazi Province, expressing appreciation for the lofty efforts of the benevolent donor, Ayatullah Sayyid Kazim Nur Mufidi, stated: This project was executed through the efforts of the benevolent donor, His Eminence Ayatullah Sayyid Kazim Nur Mufidi, esteemed Representative of the Supreme Leader in Golestan Province and Friday Prayer Leader of Gorgan, in the presence of his son, Ayatullah Sayyid Mujtaba Nur Mufidi, respected President of the Research Institute for Contemporary Jurisprudence and prominent Professor of Advanced Classes at the Islamic Seminary of Qom, at the site of the destroyed Shaqayeq School, aiming at reconstructing and building a safe, standard educational space for the students of Khomein City.

Pointing to the specifications of this project, he added: The educational infrastructure area of this project is 1,296 square meters, janitorial infrastructure area is 77 square meters, bringing total infrastructure to 1,373 square meters. Furthermore, landscaping area is designated at 2,103 square meters with a perimeter wall length of 215 meters.

The Director General for Renovation, Development, and Equipping of Schools in Markazi Province stated: Executing this project aims at replacing the educational space destroyed during the Ramadan War with a safe, optimal school worthy of the dear students of Khomein, and we hope through cooperation across all bodies, this project reaches operation in the shortest possible time.

Continuing at the foundation brick laying ceremony of the 9-classroom Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified) School, the Director General of School Renovation stated: Through planning conducted and cooperation from school-building donors, prior to September all damaged educational spaces in Khomein and the province will be completed, resolving the issue of classes exceeding 35 students.

Pointing to the educational space status in Khomein County during the ceremony, Reza Mazhari stated: 7.39 percent of Markazi Province’s students study in Khomein, and in terms of educational facility numbers, this county accounts for approximately 8 percent of provincial spaces. He added: Fortunately, prior to recent events, Khomein maintained no double-shift schools, with 781 active classrooms operating in the county.

Stating that one crucial axis of the Seventh Development Plan is reducing student density in classrooms, he noted: Currently, 341 classrooms with over 35 students exist in Markazi Province, 13 of which belong to Khomein—comprising 10 classes of 36 students, 2 classes of 37 students, and one class of 38 students.

The Director General of School Renovation continued: Based on established planning, no classroom with density exceeding 35 students should remain in the province, and through reallocating and organizing educational spaces, this problem will be resolved shortly.

Referring to damages inflicted upon Khomein schools during recent events, Mazhari stated: Three schools were completely destroyed, while several other educational spaces—including three halls, one multi-purpose hall, four janitorial areas, one restroom facility, and six camp-related facilities—sustained damage.

Expressing appreciation for the presence and support of officials and donors in executing this project, he added: Initiating these schools was made possible through extensive follow-ups and minimal reliance on government funds, and today the ground was broken for the first school in the presence of Ayatullah Nur Mufidi. It was worth standing firm against certain attacks, and today we witness its fruits.

The Director General of Provincial School Renovation also referred to donor participation in reconstructing and building schools in Khomein, stating: The Shaqayeq School is being pursued with the support of Ayatullah Sayyid Kazim Nur Mufidi, the Arifeh School with the participation of Ayatullah Hakim’s office, the Shahed Imam Rida (PBUH) School in cooperation with Astan Quds Razavi, and another construction project by the benevolent donor, Dr. Afsari.

He emphasized: All damaged educational buildings will be completed and delivered to students prior to September through the efforts of the provincial school renovation organization, the Governor of Markazi, the Governor of Khomein, the Director of Education of Khomein County, the National School Renovation Organization, and school-building donors.

In conclusion, Mazhari expressed appreciation for the cooperation and support of all institutions and donors, stating: We hope through this synergy we can return Khomein schools to the education cycle as quickly as possible, minimizing concerns regarding educational spaces.
