Martyr Yahya Sinwar Frustrated the Sinister Schemes of Global Zionism by Designing Operation Al-Aqsa Flood

Regarding the martyrdom of the leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, which occurred two or three days ago, I believe that this martyr deserves to be spoken about. All of you are aware that Israel over this past year has spared no crime. Truly, silence in the face of these crimes—which go beyond genocide—is treason. Everyone, to the extent of their ability, must take steps to condemn this regime, expose the crimes of that regime’s leaders, clarify truths, and assist the oppressed people of Lebanon and Palestine. Truly, the scenes that occurred in last night’s bombardment of Beirut and Gaza targeting residential areas—the images of which have been published from the very first moments—are truly unbearable: extracting infants from beneath the rubble with dusty and bloody faces. The strange thing is that the world merely spectates! Some governments even under these conditions claim that Israel has the right to defend itself. So many human beings are being dragged in blood and dust daily without any reaction shown, yet if a single person somewhere experiences an incident, their cries deafen the heavens.

These days, statements are sometimes heard suggesting that Yahya Sinwar, as the designer of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, was the cause of a large population of Palestine and Lebanon being dragged in blood and dust and caused extensive material damage, attempting to downplay the significance of his work and role. Let me state very briefly that the work accomplished over this past year—which began with that operation—truly frustrated many of the schemes of global Zionism. With the path they had mapped out for themselves, seeking through what was called the Abraham Accords to create an alliance between Israel and many Islamic countries and design a specific route for the global economic flow—serving as a prelude to Israel’s subsequent aggression against other lands—this action blocked those desires and fantasies. They were heading in that direction, thinking they could reach those objectives without problems or obstacles; however, this operation, designed by this martyr, frustrated those schemes. I remember once during the early days of the [Iran-Iraq] war, Imam Khomeini addressed the Arab countries, especially in the Persian Gulf region, stating: “If Saddam gains power, he will show mercy to none of you.” That day, perhaps many did not take this statement seriously, but during Saddam’s invasion of Kuwait, this statement was completely proven. If Saddam had gained power—a man with those characteristics—he would have shown mercy to no country or nation and wanted to bring everyone under his domination. Israel is the same. If Israel possesses power and capability, it will show mercy to no Islamic country; this is not a slogan, but a reality. The nature and truth of this regime are such that if given the opportunity, it will fulfill the dream of “From the Nile to the Euphrates.” They are not content with this amount; look at what percentage of the land was in their control when they first arrived in occupied Palestine, and after a few years what percentage it turned into. They would pursue the exact same thing regarding Islamic countries. However, by God’s grace, the resistance movement has been present in this region for years, preventing the execution of these criminals’ sinister schemes.

Martyr Yahya Sinwar was one of the pillars of this resistance. He truly possessed an admirable personality: in terms of endurance, having spent perhaps more than a third of his life in prison, yet he never despaired. In the utmost adversity and difficulty, he hopefully did not cease his efforts—a tireless, strong, powerful, and uncompromising human being. Despite immense hardships, he never once thought of surrendering or compromising with the Zionist enemy. As more dimensions of this martyr’s personality become known, I find him truly even more admirable. Of course, the Israeli regime assumes that by eliminating this martyr and his likes—by assassinating Yahya Sinwar, Hassan Nasrallah, Ismail Haniyeh, and other pillars of resistance—it can reach its sinister objectives, whereas these spilled bloods will certainly make the tree of resistance more robust. From the heart of these martyrdoms, a new generation will step onto the scene that is even more fiercely committed to resistance and will avenge this blood. His way of life and the manner of his martyrdom, contrary to the enemies’ wishes, will become an exemplar for the youth of Palestine.

May Allah, God willing, encompass him—who was a lover of the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them), as he mentioned Imam ‘Ali (peace be upon him) and Karbala in his speeches, demonstrating his love for the Ahl al-Bayt—in His forgiveness and mercy, and resurrect him with His divine guardians (awliya).
