Ayatullah Sayyid Mujtaba Nur Mufidi in His Advanced Jurisprudence (Kharij Fiqh) Lecture: The Necessity of Supporting Palestine from Religious and Human Perspectives
Let me say a few words regarding the issue of Palestine; truly, one cannot witness these events and remain silent. I do not wish to speak merely from a religious perspective regarding what our duty is under these conditions—that this land is a sacred land for Muslims, the first Qibla of Muslims, and the land where divine prophets were commissioned and called people to monotheism (Tawhid), yet this sacred land has been subjected to such aggression by disbelievers. Our duty from a religious and Islamic standpoint is a category that must be addressed.
From a human perspective, we bear certain duties and responsibilities. Truly, those committing these crimes view the people of Gaza and Palestine as a herd of wild animals; in explicit statements declared by an Israeli minister, he states that “they are human animals.” The very attribute inherent within themselves, they attribute to the innocent people of Gaza and Palestine. They are the savages—animals possessing a predatory nature that have been committing crimes, destroying property, usurping lands and homes, killing innocents, and imprisoning youth for 70 to 80 years; these are no small matters.
Now, they play the victim. What occurred in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was, in reality, a preemptive defense (Difa’-e Pishgiraneh) that shattered the false aura of power of the Zionist regime. This surprise attack disrupted all equations and demonstrated the extent to which the capacity of the Resistance Front has upgraded—both in intelligence capacity and military capacity. For many long years, they have been committing crimes, imprisoning, harassing, and driving people out of their homes, yet no voice was raised. You have seen the statistics of all the martyrs among the people of that region over these years… Not a single voice was raised by these countries. Now, suddenly, they all claim that one must stand against the alleged crimes of the Palestinians. Now, they have become claimants of human rights.
Today, the era of double standards has passed, and people have realized the falsehood of the claims made by the leaders of America and certain European nations. Therefore, this fake regime and these usurpers truly understand nothing except the language of force. What has proved costly and heavy for them is the shattering of their fragile grandeur, which, as acknowledged by many experts, has been achieved.
I am not concerned with the various analyses conducted regarding the initiation of this action and Hamas’s attack on occupied Palestine and Israel; analyses vary, time is limited, and I will not enter into that aspect. However, whatever the case may be, it completely exposed this tiger as being made of paper and laid bare the hollow nature of the claims of the regime occupying Quds. They used to present themselves as the premier and most complex intelligence organization in the world or the region, and as the strongest military possessing advanced weaponry and resources. The magnitude of losses inflicted upon them made it clear from the very first day that they were shocked and incapable of making decisions. Their management system was disrupted.
Presently, through blind and savage attacks against the lives and property of the oppressed people, they continue to inflict harm. Insha’Allah [God willing], may this be the dawn of a future in the not-too-distant time when the evil of these usurpers is lifted from the Islamic Ummah.
